Coolangatta
Queensland's most southerly coastal town is located on the border next to Tweed Heads approximately 100 kilometres south of Brisbane. Visitors are drawn to Coolangatta for its safe sandy beaches, access to major shopping centres and world class licensed sporting and recreational clubs where they can enjoy a relaxed coastal lifestyle.
The region's three north facing beaches, Greenmount, Rainbow Bay and Coolangatta are popular for swimming and surfing and are patrolled by two surf clubs.
Housing ranges from duplexes and three storey walk-ups to luxury highrise apartments with spectacular ocean views. Many of the houses dating back to the 1960s have been renovated or demolished.
